I see that people have different preferences when it comes to web browsers on Linux and they argue alot about 'The best browser on Ubuntu' topic, but we are not here to find out which web browser fits best in Ubuntu.
So lets save the words and go straight to our topic. I know that Google chrome works like a charm for me in my Ubuntu box, it is fast, secure and launches very quick, but how can I install it?
To be honest with you guys, I think Google Chrome browser is built for speed, simple user interface, and security.
Before installing Google chrome in your Ubuntu machine, open a new terminal(CTRL+ALT+T) and run the following command to update your sources list.
sudo apt-get update
After the update is finished, run the following command to install libnss3-1d and libxss1.
sudo apt-get install libnss3-1d libxss1
You are one step away from your fresh Google Chrome installation. It is time to go to the google website and download your specific package.
Now it is very easy, open the deb package with Ubuntu Software Center and click install or upgrade if you want to stay updated with the latest Google Chrome browser.
