Coinmon is an open-source CLI tool that allows the user to check the cryptocurrencies prices in a simple way. This is a useful piece of software both for Crypto investors and Engineers. This tool gathers the data from Coinmarketcap APIs and shows it in an organized way in your terminal, allowing you to configure different options to visualize the content. It also has a column that shows the price change in 24 hours and last 1 hour. This tool is still under active development and you would expect more feature in the future.

To use Coinmon, you need to have NodeJS 6.0.0 version or higher installed. So check that and then type in a terminal:
$ sudo npm install -g coinmon
How to use
For example, if you want to check the top 10 crypto currencies, then type:

Use -c or --convert with the currency code (example of currency code: USD) to find results in another currency. The default currency is USD but the tool supports: AUD, BRL, CAD, CHF, CLP, CNY, CZK, DKK, EUR, GBP, HKD, HUF, IDR, ILS, INR, JPY, KRW, MXN, MYR, NOK, NZD, PHP, PKR, PLN, RUB, SEK, SGD, THB, TRY, TWD, ZAR.
So for example, if you want to convert prices into Russian Ruble (RUB), type:
$ coinmon -c rub
Using the option -f or --find, you can search cryptocurrencies.
Example searching Bitcoin (BTC):
$ coinmon -f btc
You can use -t or --top plus the index to find the top n (given by the index) cryptocurrencies ordered by their market cap.
For example, if you want to find the top 5:
$ coinmon -t 5
