Gimp 2.8.10 Released, Upgrade Gimp In Ubuntu And Its Derivatives

Gimp 2.8.10 has been released presenting many bugfixes and improvements. According to the official announcement Export has been renamed to Export As, the crash in LCMS plugin if RGB profile was missing has been fixed and many gui improvements are done on this version of Gimp.

But, how to install Gimp on Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty, Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy, Ubuntu 13.04 Raring, Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal, Ubuntu 12.04 Precise and their derivatives such as Linux Mint, Pear OS, and Elementary OS Luna?

Ok guys, open a new terminal, run the following command and everything should be ok.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimp
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gimp
