How To Empty The Trash From The Terminal

Dear linoxide reader,

We are linux geeks and we love tips. They make us smarter, look cool in front of other users and what is the most important thing, they make us happy. In this article I will share a nice and simple tip with you guys. If you are a passionate computer geek like me then your trash must be full of unix ebooks you have downloaded for the second time, bash scripts and package files you don't need anymore.

I am in the way of becoming a terminal ninja, so I am working very hard and practising everything I read about linux commands. Now, do you like to empety your trash like a ninja? Ok, ok. Open a new terminal (CTRL+ALT+T) and run the following command.

rm -r /home/your_username/.local/share/Trash/files/*
